When Jenny and Andrew first reached out to us to be their wedding planners for their North Carolina fairytale wedding, they expressed how time was their biggest obstacle. The couple was living in Charlotte and planning to marry in Wilmington, which also made geography a bit of a block. With this and their full-time jobs, there was little time in their schedules to plan and design their wedding. Because of this, we decided to work together on our wedding management plus design package.
During our time getting to know the couple, Jenny expressed to us that her mother had passed the year prior. It was incredibly important to be able to honor her mom during their wedding. Another important feature was to be incorporating some of her Thai heritage into the design.
We had a white rose placed on the front chair of the ceremony to honor her mom, and her dad gave a touching speech to honor both her mom and the bride. There was no dry eye in the room, including my team and me. To incorporate the Thai heritage, we used small gold elephants as table numbers, a lotus medallion on the mantel, lined the cocktail hour tent with bamboo plants, and hints of dark pink to bring it all together. Jenny walked in like a princess, with her dress flowing and sparkling in the sun.
For the ceremony, the ring bearer was dressed like secret service, and the flower girl was a mini princess herself. One of my favorite moments with the flower girl was when she walked over and gave me the biggest hug. It was truly a sweet moment. Jenny and Andrew’s first dance song, How Would You Feel, by Ed Sheeren, was sang by Andrew’s stepbrother. It was so beautiful to watch.
Jenny and Andrew were both so amazing to work with on their fairytale wedding in North Caroline. They were sweet and kind, and I am so thankful to stay in touch with them!
We’d love to support you on your big day with beautiful florals and perfect planning.
